Invitation to the WaterCAP Workshop

Innovations in Climate Change Adaptation and Water Management:
How European Policy can benefit from Interreg Projects’ Expertise

March, 19th, 2012, 13.00 -16.30h in Brussels

This workshop will both profile and consolidate the regional experience
of previous EU research to advise the development of European climate
change and water policy. Starting with a strong reference to the linkage
between European and regional water management, Mr. Joerg Janning
(European Water Management Association) will present his perspective on
the potential value of the WaterCAP cluster.
Case studies will show how Interreg projects support economic win-win
solutions, innovation and create new jobs. At the final conference of
WaterCAP in early 2013 we will have many more examples of North Sea
Interreg projects along this line.
The panel discussion will emphasize our interest in the needs of
European water management. With this in particular we want to further
establish the exchange with the European policy level so that both sides
benefit most of the policy-science interface.
We hope that this workshop finds your interest and are looking forward
to welcoming you!
