CO2 - Werkstatt

The CO2-Werkstatt project aims to improve the apprenticeship of craftsperson. The most important step improving the apprenticeship is to amend the cooperation between the "Berufsschule" (vocational school) and the Handwerkskammer (chamber of crafts).

FREEMAN

Flood Resilience Enhancement and Management: a pilot study in Flanders, Germany and Italy

The CRUE ERA-NET project FREEMAN endeavours to support practitioners to mitigate detrimental flood impacts. In this way the adaptive capacity of municipalities, organisations and affected residents in the face of flood risk is increased.

 

The project CLIWAT aims at identifying the means to better adapt to climate change, reduce risks and protect society and nature in a more extreme climate. The project follows a case-study approach in the Netherlands, Belgium, Danmark and Germany.

 

I-Five

The i-Five project ("Innovative Instruments and Institutions in Implementing the Water Framework Directive") aims to support the implementation of the EUROPEAN WATER FRAMEWORK DIRECTIVE (WFD) by promoting the transboundary exchange of experiences, by broadening the range of methods and tools available to water managers, and by helping water managers develop the best applicable approach.

Seeconsult hosted the German stakeholder workshop "Implementing the European Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC): What are our lessons learnt?" on 31st August 2010 in Hannover. The workshop summarized the results of the international IWRM-Net project i-Five ( www.i-five.org). 15 representatives of the water management resources participated.

Dr. I. Borowski-Maaser facilitates the RESCUE Experts Workshop on 14/15th June 2010.  The workshop is part of the RESCUE Foreword Look which is a one-year multi-/trans-/inter-disciplinary project, funded by the European Science Foundation (ESF) and the intergovernmental initiative for European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST).
