IWRM-NET
First international workshop of IWRM-NET in London
On the 10th and 11th January 2007 Seeconsult moderated the opening meeting of the IWRM-Net network for the British Environment Agency. Within the scope of the workshop, researchers and managers of research projects as well as practitioner determined the current state of research and the existing shortcomings within the research especially regarding the new European Water Framework Directive. Presentations provided an insight into specific questions of local water managers in various European regions, as well as methodical challenges concerning the Water Framework Directive. These insights were further elaborated in small groups and concrete questions for research were defined, which will constitute the basis for future research proposals. Simultaneously, the potentials of the IWRM-Net network in supporting further cooperation were illustrated.News
