CATALYST-Local Academy on DRR and CCA

In December 2013, 25 post-graduate students and post-doctoral researchers from across Europe and Mexico spent two weeks in Guanajuato State in Mexico to participate in the "CATALYST-Local" Winter Academy in order to learn from experienced trainers and local communities about the theory and practice of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. The intention of the training event has been to enrich the research activities of the participants and increase their practical knowledge of the possibilities for and the limits to the implementation of the theory at the community level.

For more information about the first academy see our poster presenting the experience of working with the community of Las Palomas.

The next academy will be held in May 2015. Watch this page for the announcement in Aug. 2014.
